The Cherry Research Farm is one of 18 research stations across the state in the
Research Station Division of the North Carolina Department of Agriculture and
Consumer Services. The diverse facility has livestock and organic and convention
crop production. The Center for Environmental Farming Systems (CEFS),
established in 1994, is located on the farm.
