The Wayne County Museum is proud to once again be hosting the annual Black History Quiz Bowl, sponsored by the Goldsboro-Wayne NAACP and Wayne County Public Schools on Saturday the 22nd, from 12pm to 3pm. Middle-schoolers from all over the Wayne County area have signed up and will compete in an elimination style Trivia competition. Students have also submitted entries in Black History related Art, Poetry and Literature. The artwork and poetry entries will be on display in the Museum Ballroom before the event. The public is welcome to attend and support these talented local students. The Black History exhibit “History and Homecoming: the Legacy of Dillard High School” will be open for viewing. The Museum is free to the public and will be open from 10am until 6pm on Saturday. For more information, visit waynemuseum.org or call us at 919-734-5023.
