The Arts Council of Wayne County is introducing a new series of workshops focused on preparing high school students for college-level art courses while showing them that art is a viable career path. These 3-month workshops meet on Thursdays from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Students in grades 10 through 12 can apply and are asked to submit a small portfolio of their current classes and work so that instructor Anna Hinson can judge how to best help each student. The Arts Council will help with any portfolio questions. Students in 9th grade may also apply and will be accepted on a case-by-case basis.
