Veteran owned and operated, Well Travelled Beer is one of Downtown Goldsboro’s most unique locations. Step into their art-filled taproom, grab yourself one of their 8 rotating beers on tap and have a truly “rocking” experience. 

Wine, mead, seltzers and of course craft beer, you’ll find it all in Well Travelled Beer’s bottle shop. Grab yourself a brew and sit outside or inside and have an equally intimate experience, as this is truly a community spot to hang out with friends. 

Every once a month you can stay up and rock out with some brews and metal music tunes at Metal Midnight! You can also experience Gold City Video, a pop-up VHS and 80’s + 90’s video game store that let’s you get a kick of nostalgia.

Owners of Goldsboro Brew Works, Zak Fein and Carson Clark, didn’t want to just stop at serving great craft beer; they wanted to make it too! The GBW Filling Station opened up in October 2021 and it’s Downtown Goldsboro’s first microbrewery. 

These are some of freshest brews you can find! I mean, it doesn’t get fresher than actually seeing the brew room from the bar. Make sure when you’re stopping by for a drink that you check out their seasonal brews and remember, you’re supporting local crafters. 

In case you didn’t know, GBW Filling Station is actually a filling station. The brewery resides in a vintage gas station and really gives a whole new meaning to “fill er’ up”. Don’t forget to grab an insta-worthy pic with the classic car they have parked out front. 

16 beer taps, 2 wine taps and a bottle shop; what more could you ask for? Serving, craft, important and domestic brews, First Brew is that friendly neighborhood location where you go to sit back, relax and chill with a good brew. 

I know we said you couldn’t ask for more, but we have to talk about John’s Grill. First Brew grew as an addition to John’s Pizza where slinging dough was then coupled by pouring brews. Recently reopened as John’s Grill, the food selection of hamburgers, sandwiches and more will be just what you’re craving!

Okay, okay, we have just one more thing to add to this list…First Brew is already a one-stop destination for dinner and brews, but it’s also a great spot to listen to live music and play games from arcade to corn hole. Make sure to stop by when you want to forget your worries! 

With 22 beers on tap at all times and hundreds of selection on the shelves for purchase, Brewmasters truly likes to embody their namesake. Locally owned and operated since 2013, Brewmasters of Goldsboro has been making a splash ever since with their laid-back pub vibe.

You read that right, Brewmasters is home to some delicious food. From artisan flatbread pizza to sandwiches to some killer beer cheese dip, you really can’t go wrong. Pick one of the many brews on tap, order yourself up some food and enjoy. This family-friendly spot is a go-to for meal with a brew!

They have a fountain AND a pond. Yes, I said what I said. Sit outside on their gorgeous back patio space, lit by string lights to give the night an almost romantic glow with the sound of the fountain going in the background. It’s really the perfect space to hang out with friends, family or a date. 

As Goldsboro’s oldest (and only) full-serice tobaccionist, Tobacco and Hops is the place to be for those who love to sit back, lounge and enjoy a cigar. Carrying full lines of premium cigars and pipe tobacco, if you’re a cigar connoisseur this place is a must-see.

Not only serving up premium cigars, but also your favorite craft brews! The hops part of their namesake comes in at the lounge where you can sit back on one of their plush leather recliners, order a beer and enjoy your cigar. If this isn’t a unique experience, I don’t know what is!
