Cherry Research Farms
The Cherry Research Farm is one of 18 research stations across the state in the Research Station Division of the North Carolina Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services. The diverse facility has livestock and organic and convention crop production. The Center for Environmental Farming Systems (CEFS), established in 1994, is located on the farm.

Lane Family Farms Apiaries
If you’re a lover of local honey and honey products, Lane Family Farms Apiaries is the place to get it. Their local honey products range from large and small bottles of honey, honey sticks, hand-crafted soaps and more. Located at the Farm Credit Farmer’s Market throughout the open season, you can visit their stand for all your honey-based needs Thursday through Saturday, behind the Maxwell Center.

Holly Grove Farms
Situated on 65 acres, Holly Grove Farms is a family owned and operated business, specializing in all natural farmstead goat cheeses. Odom Farming Company
Third generation farmers who decided in 2010 to do something a little different than those generations before and open our farm up for families and groups to come have a great time on the farm. A Secret Garden Winery
Located just five miles north of Goldsboro, this winery is situated on a family farm. A selection of naturally fermented wines are produced from the area’s native grape and the official fruit of NC, the Muscadine. All wine are made without chemicals and preservatives, fermenting their wines with the natural wild yeast in the grapes. The ingredients in A Secret Garden wines are juice, water and sugar. J&J Martin Farm Produce
Martin Family Farm Produce is a family owned fresh produce business that has been in operation for over 100 years. Currently the farm is operated by Jeannette Horn, Larry Martin, Joyce Bowden, Robert Wayne Martin, and occasionally their younger siblings Anthony Martin, and Elizabeth Louise Meggett. Britt Farms
Britt Farm opened its doors again in 2006 after Vernon Britt’s parents quit farming a few decades back. The land had been in the family since the mid-1600s, given to them through a land grant. Britt Farm grows quality fruits and vegetables on a hundred acres in Mt. Olive, NC and the farming duo have peaches, all sorts of vegetables, strawberries, melons and more.
