DID YOU KNOW: The Paramount Theatre building was originally built in 1822! In its lifetime, it has been used for many different things. from drill practices by the Goldsboro Rifles to a vaudeville theatre, originally named The Mason Theatre.
DID YOU KNOW: The Paramount Theatre was reconstructed after a fire that burned down a large majority of the building in 2005. It was re-opened in 2008 after a full reconstruction and was done so in just 14 months!
DID YOU KNOW: The Paramount Theatre has a Performing Arts Series that was named “Best Downtown Event Series” in 2011-2012 by North Carolina Main Street! Every year live music, holiday symphonies, dance, theatrical performances and more are showing.
The Paramount Theatre
Originally built in 1882 and reconstructed in 2008, this beautiful landmark is Historic Downtown Goldsboro’s headquarters for the performing arts. In addition to an increasing amount of events produced by local organizations, the Paramount Theatre now presents an annual Performing Arts Series featuring nationally and internationally known artists.

Center Stage Theatre
Established in 1978, Center Stage Theatre is a 501(c) 3 Non-Profit community theatre group providing quality entertainment to Wayne County, NC and beyond. A community staple, Center Stage Theatre’s annual rendition of A Christmas Carol, their One-Act Performances (reminiscent of Whose Line Is It Anyways?) and their full-scale productions at the Paramount Theatre are all must-sees in community theatre!

Stagestruck: The Young People’s Own Theatre
Affiliated with the Arts Council of Wayne County, Stage Struck is a member of the American Association of Community Theatre. StageStruck’s mission is to encourage young people’s knowledge, interest, and participation in the theatrical performing arts. The theatre group offers drama workshops, story tellers camp, summer camp, and produces five productions each year.

This spoken-word performing arts theater focuses on bringing a voice to those who feel voiceless. Performances take place every third Saturday of the month and often feature an after party. Discover unique local talents at their Open Mic events and enjoy a night of collectively gathering to hear the unique voices in the community.

Drummer’s World Drum Line
A Drummers World Drumline is a non-profit organization known for bringing fun-filled and exciting performances to people in North Carolina and is t he first Performing Arts School in Wayne County that entails drumming, dance, color guard, character building, and youth empowerment.
